We are always asked about rooms with a view and actually, surprisingly few hotels and resorts in mainland Krabi offer rooms with ocean views, and those that do often only have a partial glimpse, rather than an inspiring panorama. Nonetheless, we have listed all of them below.
These Krabi sea view hotels have been further classified according to whether they offer direct beach access, i.e. if the resort is located directly on the sand, with no road to cross in-between. The very few resorts on the mainland that offer this quieter, traffic-free location are marked with a palm tree ?.

Beachfront hotels in Ao Nang
These hotels are located along the main beachfront road, which means you can see the sea as soon as you step outside. The majority of the rooms inside, however, are non sea view; though some hotels do have a premium category of seaview rooms. Note that these are usually partial sea views as there are tall palm trees, and various electric cables that block the horizon. Krabi Resort has a unique position both on the road, and with grounds backing on to the beach.

Hotels and resorts with seaview rooms on the Railay peninsula
There is no traffic in Railay, other than the constant longtail boats, and most hotels are located on, or not far from the sand. However, only a handful have rooms with sea views – it is usually the restaurant and pool that have the direct views of the beach.
In Railay West, all four beachfront resorts have a few rooms with seaview:

The majority of hotels in both Klong Muang and Tupkaek are “absolute beachfront”, and the absence of longtail boat traffic makes them incredibly peaceful.
