ITINERARY: This pure action day gives you a great taste of Thailand’s lush interior. Travel overland to Phang Nga (around 1.5 hours) to the rafting base camp on the Songpraek River, where you will receive full instruction and don safety equipment for the course. If you just wish to ride, but not paddle, this is also possible.
Then it’s time to set off for an exhilarating run through the rapids. The 5km course takes around 45 minutes to complete, while the longer Grade II – IV 9km course will take an additional 40 minutes. Note that the 9km course is not available during the dry season. This is usually from Feb – Apr, but can spill over a few days on either side (please check before booking if travelling around this time).
After a buffet lunch at a plantation restaurant, move on to the ATV camp to take a genuine off-road trek, on a 200cc ATV. There are two options available, a 30 minute session and a 1 hour session. The course goes along a shallow river and then up through the jungle on dirt tracks. Note that the ATV timing includes a 10 – 15 minute training and safety session with an instructor before the trek starts. If you choose the shorter ATV session, you can also try out the jungle zipline or “flying fox” while you wait for the others to return.
Return to Krabi by minivan, via the Monkey Cave temple, Wat Suwanna Kuha, near Phang Nga.
A 20 THB entry fee is charged for those who wish to go inside the cave (it is not compulsory). This charge is not included in the tour cost as it is considered as a donation to the temple that will “make merit” for the donor. Note: the temple visit may start the program on some days, depending on the number of people booked.
Expected group size: 4 – 14 pax, depending on the day and time of year.
Important: ATV and 5km rafting can be done by children as young as 6 (though we recommend a minimum age of 7 – 8 to be safe). Parents must assume full responsibility for their children. The 9km course is not suitable for children under the age of 11 so child tickets for this course are not available. Children under the age of 12 may ride ATVs as passengers only. Children 12 – 16 years may drive if accompanied by an adult passenger.
No prior experience is required for either the rafting, or the ATV.
Travel time from Krabi to the rafting site in Phang Nga is around 1.5 hours each way by a/c minivan.

Fah –
I was impressed by the whole tour. Pick up and drop off were on time, ride to and fro the place was smooth, guides were friendly, instructions given were clear, food was good. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. But please bring extra cash – there is flying fox activity that you can give it a try, “professional” pictures taken while doing the activities and beverages to purchase if you want something sweet (coconut is super fresh and tasty!).
