Our cooking instructor, Heng, was amazing! He picked us up right in front of our guesthouse. We were entertained from the very moment we boarded his car until we alighted from it at the end of the night. Great guy and everything we cooked tasted amazing. Great experience!

For anyone who remotely enjoys cooking and/or Thai food, this is an excellent holiday activity. One of my favourite things I did in Krabi. It is only a part of a day, too, so you can do something else in the day and tie off your night nicely with this, or leave the evening free for something else by doing a day session. During the time you’re there, you pack in a lot – 6 courses! You end up making quite a bit of food and I would suggest getting a doggy bag – only 1 out of the 3 in our class managed to come close to eating everything, and that was me.I’m a huge eater, and I still struggled. The small classes were great for getting instructor attention and also for getting to know my fellow cooking class mates.

As for the food, it was awesome and thoroughly satisfying to have come off my own hand (mostly). Seriously, some of the best food I had during my trip! I learnt a lot and think I could do a fair job of replicating the dishes myself back home, at least with some help from the little cookbook they give you at the end.

The instructor and her assistant were knowledgable and friendly, the facilities and ingredients excellent and the program efficient and smooth. This is an ideal holiday activity – you do an activity, learn a skill, get some insight into a key element of a culture, and enjoy a great feed to boot. Would recommend highly.

We really enjoyed this cooking course. We were picked up right on time from our hotel. The woman who ran the class was very enthusiastic and taught us a lot. We first learned about all the ingredients, and then made each dish. The ingredients are mostly prepared for you, so you have the time to make multiple dishes. In between every two dishes you sit down and eat what you made. You get a recipe book at the end, so even though you didn’t make everything from scratch (since she announced when to put in each ingredient) it will all seem familiar when you go to cook at home. The menus were great with a good variety from noodles, and rice dishes, to curry dishes, including choice of protein, such as shrimp or prawn. We definitely left feeling confident to make these dishes at home. Also, the price was very reasonable. Lastly, the booking process was so easy with such helpful information!
