Jacquie –
Be prepared, the 11:30 ferry from Phi Phi to Lanta is hot, crowded and many seats are broken. Good thing it’s only an hour. Beware of the woman on the ferry selling onward ferry tickets and private and group transfers to hotels. She acts like a ferry employee but she is a tout. 200 THB per person shared van, or 500 THB for a “private taxi” which turned out to be her husband’s filthy car, no AC. Hotel was all of 3 minutes from the pier. Wanted another 500 TBH for return, said “must be picked up at hotel at 11:00 am for 1:30 ferry, all hotel checkout same 11:00, relax at pier” Sure – 2.5 hours in the heat? No thanks. Turns out we can check out of hotel t 12:45, transfer to pier is 50 TBH pp
