Description
ITINERARY: Probably the most accessible and rewarding day trek in the Krabi area, this little known path is less than 4km long, but goes through very steep and humid terrain – the jungle covered mountainside of “Dragon Crest Mountain”, part of the National Park. The climb takes around 2 – 2.5 hours, depending on your fitness level.
The viewpoint at the top, which is 565m above sea level, offers probably the best panoramic views in the area, as well as hands down the best photo opportunity. Take your time here and enjoy a picnic lunch, before heading back down through the shady forest.
It is possible to go this route alone, but taking a guide will give you more insight into the forest environment, a way of identifying all the places you see from the top, plus someone to help carry the litres of water and food you will need.
Expected group size: 2 – 10 pax, depending on the day and time of year.
Important: Children may participate on this trek; we suggest a minimum age of 7-8 years for a stress-free outing.
