Description
ITINERARY: This tour takes you to one of the most interesting areas of Krabi, wonderfully scenic, and rich in history and culture. Travel overland (40 – 50 mins) to the pier at Bor Tor and then transfer to your kayak (2 / 3 seater).
You will set off along the backwaters, passing local fishermen, to reach the vast cavern of Pee Hua Toh, which has provided shelter to humans for thousands of years (and has cave paintings to prove it). Take pictures at the magnificent lookout point near the top of the cave. Continue paddling to Tham Lod Tai, a “secret passage” through a rock tunnel dotted with stalactites OR (depending on the tides) Tham Khao Wong, another rock tunnel heading into the karst, this time ending in a quiet lagoon at the center of the mountain, formed thousands of years ago when a cave roof collapsed. Total kayaking time, around 1.5 hours (not including stops).
Finish the tour with lunch at the riverside restaurant, with Thai food served “family-style” – sharing several dishes with rice.
Paddle guides are also available as an add-on service for this tour; they can take maximum one passenger each, so please book one per person requiring the service.
Note that although it is easier if all passengers on the kayak paddle, only one person actually needs to paddle, so children or less fit people can sit as passengers with an able adult and in this case no paddle guide will be required. Kayaks are available as 2 or 3 seaters.
Expected group size: 6 – 20 pax, depending on the day and time of year.

Kayakking at Bor Thor Cave (half day) was the highlight of our trip. All my 3 boys enjoyed the short, yet sweet experience. Our guide was fantastic, good sense of humor and very informative.

Tour guide speaks good English and picked us up from our hotel at about 840am. Kayaking was hot and tiring but very informative (in the caves). Lunch was yummy. Took loads of pictures as well!

My kids (aged 9 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Bilan, was really friendly, knowledgable and patient with the little ones. The highlight was the cave tour where we could explore the cave on our own for about 10 minutes. Apply mosquitoe repellent on yourself or wear long coverings as you tend to get bitten by them during the kayaking and caving itself.

My older friend and I did this tour in feb and we both loved it. The caves were amazing and the kayaking through the gorge was so peaceful. We enjoyed the lunch and appreciated the informative tour guide in English. This was not hard at all, very scenic and languid!
