Description
ITINERARY: Head north for around 45 minutes through Krabi’s lush green interior to the backwaters of Bor Thor. This area is a protected mangrove ecosystem and is home to ancient caves and impressive rock formations, including passages through the karst.
You’ll also discover some of Krabi’s history and culture, as you pass by small fishing huts and visit the vast cavern of Pee Hua Toh, which has provided shelter to humans for thousands of years (and has cave paintings to prove it). Take pictures at the magnificent lookout point near the top of the cave.
Continue paddling to Tham Lod, a “secret passage” through a rock tunnel dotted with stalactites, before returning to the pier for lunch. Total kayaking time, around 1.5 hours (not including stops).
After lunch, it’s on to the ATV station, for an hour’s trek on both an adventure / obstacle course with log bridge and balance tests and off-road along a river and mud tracks through the forest. Instruction provided.
Expected group size: 4 – 12 pax, depending on the day and time of year.
Important: Children should be at least 7 years old to participate in this tour. Children under the age of 11 may ride ATVs as passengers only. Children 11 – 16 years may drive if accompanied by an adult passenger. Parents must assume full responsibility for their children.
Kayaks are available as 2 or 3 seaters.
