Description
ITINERARY: Head north for around 45 minutes through Krabi’s lush green interior to the backwaters of Bor Thor. This area is a protected mangrove ecosystem and is home to ancient caves and impressive rock formations, including passages through the karst.
You’ll also discover some of Krabi’s history and culture, as you pass by small fishing huts and visit the vast cavern of Pee Hua Toh, which has provided shelter to humans for thousands of years (and has cave paintings to prove it). Take pictures at the magnificent lookout point near the top of the cave.
Continue paddling to Tham Lod, a “secret passage” through a rock tunnel dotted with stalactites, before returning to the pier for lunch. Total kayaking time, around 1.5 hours (not including stops).
After lunch, head back towards Ao Nang for two hours of serious aerial adventure at Krabi Fun Park. There are almost 40 different activities, including ziplines, flying skateboards, bicycle tightrope and other rope-based contraptions, all up in the tree canopy, to satisfy even the hardiest thrill seeker. Games are graded and instruction is provided.
Expected group size: 4 – 12 pax, depending on the day and time of year.
Important: Children should be at least 120cm tall to participate in this tour.
Kayaks are available as 2 or 3 seaters.
