Description
ITINERARY: This classic Krabi itinerary will take you to a couple of local landmarks. You’ll cruise around the “head” of the famously shaped Chicken Island (though we think it looks more like a camel!), and spend time on the amazing powder white beach that adorns almost every Thailand travel brochure in existence, at Poda Island.
You’ll also get to walk across a spectacular three pronged sandbank between some small islets (Koh Mor and Koh Tub, leading off to Chicken Island), as well as relax on the beach Trip Advisor reviewers recently voted the 5th best beach in Asia, at Phra Nang Cave. A couple of snorkeling / swimming stops and a picnic on the beach will round out the day.
As with all island tours, the itinerary order will vary according to the tides and sea conditions on your day of travel.
Expected group size: 25 – 45 pax, depending on the day and time of year. We will request smaller boats wherever possible, though this cannot be guaranteed.
Important: Speedboat travel is not recommended for pregnant women, infants under the age of 2, or anyone with back problems.
This trip includes 2 open water snorkeling stops of around 20 – 30 minutes. It is possible to stay on the boat during this time. Please wear a life jacket if not a confident swimmer. There are also fish that can be seen in the shallow water around Poda and Tub islands, which is good for children who are not able to snorkel. Travel time to the first beach is around 15 minutes.
NOTE: since 18 June 2015, customers on island-hopping tours that stop at beaches with ranger stations are subject to pay National Park entry fees. On the 4 Islands tour, these are payable at Poda Islands at the rate of 400 THB per adult and 200 THB per child. The fees are not included in your ticket price; please bring cash to cover this on the day of travel.
