Krabi for foodies

Fresh local vegetables, blindingly good seafood, fabulous tropical fruits and amazing chefs: Krabi is truly a foodie’s paradise. Southern Thai cuisine is famous all over the country and here you have direct access to it, made with the freshest and most succulent ingredients.

Whether a banquet in a formal garden restaurant, a tasty one-dish wonder from a street stall, or a snack grabbed from a motorbike sidecar, your tastebuds will be blown away – with one important caveat: if you are serious about food, do follow the advice and seek out the suggestions in the links provided below, as most “tourist Thai” restaurants will serve a poor, watery imitation of the real thing.

Suggested itinerary

Day 1 – Cookery class + night market
Day 2 – Island tour with fishing -> seafood dinner?
Day 3 – Morning market (Krabi Town) + shopping

For this reason, we’ve also included “culture” in this section: food is such an important part of life here, the two can’t be separated. For good food, you need to “go local” and whenever or wherever you do, you’ll find great food. Bon appétit!
